Reverse Labouchere System
There have been a number of comments along time about the methods that do not seem to have anything to do with Logics. This is one of them. Some progression systems advocates claim that chance does not respond to any Logics and this way of playing avoids betting constantly on the same number intermittence, for example pass, manque, pass, manque. The system detractors say it is quite difficult to learn and implement, and that it is only favourable during short periods of game going through some good patch. This system is based on a reverse progression, called ‘Labouchere progression’. It consists on hitting a certain amount of specific numbers, for example, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and betting on the number that results in adding its endings, in this case 2 + 5, that is to say 7. Then, the player bets 7 chips and, if he loses, the numbers in the extremes are crossed out. In our example they are numbers 3 and 5. The player must then go on with the numbers left, 3 + 4 also adds 7 , that is to say, he will bet 7 chips again. On the contrary, if he wins, he will add a number to the list of numbers to bet on, corresponding to the lost number, and he must bet the amount of chips corresponding to the addition of both extremes. In this example, he would have bet on the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and, in the next game, the player should bet 8 chips.
In a similar way, the Reverse Opposite Labouchere System consists on making a Labouchere-like inverse progression, based in two simple opposite chances. That is repeated until the player gets a positive balance and the series is then restarted. However, you must remember that this variation the one called OPPOSITE INVERSE, the progression is applied on two simple opposite chances, for example black and red, manque and pass, odd and even. Advanced players also bet on those pairs at the same time, but it is advisable to gain some practice with a pair and then with two before betting on the three pairs altogether.
It is important to take into consideration the need for restarting the series when that balance gets positive, as the amount of chips can increase in no time and that would call for betting a great number of chips.
Although the system may seem a little difficult to catch and despite the fact that it may seem to be somehow against pure Logics, many players have adopted it because they know that it works in the short run. They prefer this system because it is favourable to some good patches and it plays against numbers intermittence. Just try it out during a reduced number of games and come to your own conclusions.
