The ‘Fortress’ System and Number Repetition

A lot has been written about roulette winning systems. Some of them, although introduced as infallible methods, are really poor. Others, a little more serious, are based on mathematical and statistical probabilities. Among the various probability -based systems, some have been devised to be applied along many wheel spins and, some others, to make a positive balance in a few games, that is to say, in a few minutes.

The system called ‘Fortress’, although based on the mathematical theory of odds, does not belong neither to the first nor to the second group – it is based on the probabilities of a certain number of spins that is not defined by the player, but by the game itself – by chance. And although advanced players may consider this method as one of the best, this random factor is what really adds the touch of excitement to the system.

Mathematical statistics state that a number will hit, as an average, 1 time over 37 or 38 wheel spins, depending on the type of roulette. But that is just theory. Practice shows that this is pretty difficult to get in a reduced amount of hands, and that is why it is most probable for some numbers to repeat. Besides, some numbers will hands, and every number hitting just once would be really weird.

Based on this fact, the Fortress system suggests you bet on the repeated numbers in a given sequence by betting on the straight numbers that have only hit once until one of them is repeated as it will produce certain winnings in chips, a positive balance, and then a new sequence is started, not taking the previous ones into consideration.

For example, on a certain sequence given, the first number repeated is taken and the player should bet on it fully, hand after hand. A player should watch and make down the repeated numbers and bet on them on. In that period, a certain number may hit for the thirds time. When the player stops to make the balance, he will discover that he has a gross winning of several chips.

However, the second repetition may take several hands. To prevent this event from complicating things for players, they must plan the amount to bet in every straight bet very carefully so that what he will get in the winning hand, balances or equals the amount in previous hands. After that, it is necessary to start a brand new sequence, not taking into account what has been recorded for the previous sequence.
